(Jr) Research Associate (6 months temporary contract) - Biologics Discovery

For the expansion of our Biologics Discovery team we are currently looking for a
(Jr) Research Associate - Biologics Discovery.
This is a temporary 6 month contract with possibility of becoming permanent.

The chosen candidate will integrate a collaborative team that is responsible for the screening and selection of lead panels of functional biologics.

Your responsibilities

 The successful candidate may have the following responsibilities:

• Maintenance of mammalian cell cultures

• Express membrane proteins in mammalian cells using a variety of transfection methods.

• Characterize antibodies using a range of cell-based assays to assess their functionality.

• Careful documentation of experimental work, provide high-quality data on time and report results within electronic lab notebook

• Prepare and effectively present your experimental results (written and oral) to project teams

• Help maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supply

Our preferred candidate will have the following profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent.

• Bench oriented and preferentially trained in an industry environment (biotech or pharma).

• Experience with molecular biology and/or flow cytometry is a plus .

• Direct experience with mammalian cell culturing and transient transfections is an asset.
