For the expansion of our Biologics Discovery team we are currently looking for a
(Sr) Research Associate - Biologics Discovery. This is a temporary 1 year contract.
The chosen candidate will integrate a collaborative team that is responsible for the screening and selection of lead panels of functional biologics.
Your responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Perform Biologics Discovery techniques across target programs.
Clone VHH antibody repertoires and execute antibody selections
Characterize antibodies using a broad range of biochemical and cell-based assays to assess their functionality.
Express membrane proteins in mammalian cells using a variety of transformation methods.
Contribute to further optimize available methods and workflows
Careful documentation of experimental work, provide high-quality data on time and report results within electronic lab notebook
Prepare and effectively present your experimental results (written and oral) to project teams
Have strong interpersonal skills and interact effectively with your direct collaborators
Help maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supply
Job requirements
Our preferred candidate will have the following profile:
Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience.
Bench oriented and preferentially trained in an industry environment (biotech or pharma).
Experience with molecular biology, antibody phage display and/or flow cytometry is a plus
Direct experience with mammalian cell culturing and transient transfections is an asset.
