For the expansion of our Biologics Discovery team we are currently looking for a
(Sr) Research Associate - Biologics Discovery. This is a temporary 1 year contract.

The chosen candidate will integrate a collaborative team that is responsible for the screening and selection of lead panels of functional biologics.

Your responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Perform Biologics Discovery techniques across target programs.

• Clone VHH antibody repertoires and execute antibody selections

• Characterize antibodies using a broad range of biochemical and cell-based assays to assess their functionality.

• Express membrane proteins in mammalian cells using a variety of transformation methods.

• Contribute to further optimize available methods and workflows

• Careful documentation of experimental work, provide high-quality data on time and report results within electronic lab notebook

• Prepare and effectively present your experimental results (written and oral) to project teams

• Have strong interpersonal skills and interact effectively with your direct collaborators

• Help maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supply

Our preferred candidate will have the following profile:

• Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience.

• Bench oriented and preferentially trained in an industry environment (biotech or pharma).

• Experience with molecular biology, antibody phage display and/or flow cytometry is a plus

• Direct experience with mammalian cell culturing and transient transfections is an asset.
